This plane landed in Myanmar about three hours ago. This is the third ICE flight to Myanmar this year. Burmese deportees in 2025 were immediately sent to a torture facility next to the airport, according to Myanmar Now. Weeks later, not all of them had emerged.

“Kaseya pointed out that some 60-70% of the new cases were recorded from spreading within a community, not from contact tracing… “Contact tracing is not working,” said Kaseya, “we don’t like the trajectory of this outbreak, and it’s already the second largest outbreak (ever) in the world.”

If you have any history of abuse, do not watch the video of that representative being interviewed. I shouldn’t have and I am still amped up hours later. Those of you lucky enough not to speak abuser should, though. The guy is textbook.

It’s likely she already has permanent cardiac damage because this has been going on for years, but how dare anyone comment on someone’s body 🙄, meanwhile she is starving herself to literal death. I’m glad she is going to be scaling back and taking time off and I sincerely hope she gets real help.

not to be pop culture brained but it is kind of crazy how libfem shit is being weaponized against ppl who are like holy shit Ariana Grande is about to die. fellas is it anti-woman to express concern about the health of a woman and the high mortality rates of eating disorders

i absolutely DO think suspected ai media should be pointed out i absolutely do NOT think anyone spotting it is somehow superior to a person who shared it unknowingly and immediately takes it down once it’s pointed out this is a team effort

The cyclospora situation in Michigan sounds legitimately terrifying. Tens of thousands of people getting a version of the "24 hour stomach bug" that lasts for two weeks, people even dying from it now. It's like the entire state is one of those cruise ship horror stories or something.

An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play

The Campaign to Force Genital Exams on Girl Athletes Soon Washington State could require sex-verification tests for those playing sports in schools.

By Andrea González-Ramírez, a senior writer for The Cut who covers systems of power. Those physicals, Maria explains, are usually perfunctory: “Like, Are you walking normally? Are you lightheaded? I have never had to take any clothes off. I’ve never felt uncomfortable or violated.” If IL26-638 were to pass and Maria were still in school, she says she would likely drop out of her team. (We’re withholding Maria’s real name to protect her privacy.) “I honestly don’t know if I would be able to do these tests,” she adds. “It would also make me question, If I do it, are all my teammates going to too? Or would I just play with the three or four girls who are willing to or have access to do it?”

If we care about disability justice, one of the lowest-hanging fruits is masks in healthcare. It remains unacceptable that vulnerable patients must ask, sometimes beg, healthcare workers to mask, while also explaining to them why respirator masks are better

If you're still on Substack, you're helping platform fascists and their enthusiastic minions, such as Bari Weiss, whom they actively partnered with just before her move to CBS. Go check out @buttondown.com and @ghost.org instead. You can even migrate yours subscribers and subscriptions!

What if instead of starting substacks in twenty-fucking-twenty-six people learned to give one iota of a fuck about whether they want to associate themselves with nazis.

As a disabled person i was amazed at the amount of accessible options that suddenly became available. I really felt like it had changed the world for the better. Then it all just got taken away and the world moved on and left us behind. Alone. I actually felt genuine grief.

Covid lockdowns demonstrated, in a deeply imperfect way, the possibility of large-scale social solidarity for a higher cause. That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.

What does “endemic” mean? Do you even know? Do you care? Or do you just know it’s easier not to be the lone masker in a crowd, so you’re gonna do that instead? Do you know what you’re inviting in when you encourage AI use? Or do you just know the boss will get off your back?
