I need someone to develop an app where I deposit like $100 at the beginning of the year and then when I click on an article that’s behind a paywall they deduct a cost per article for that specific site and send it to the publication rather than expect me to subscribe to 50 outlets.

i've prepared November election guides for a decade—many of you have first followed me for this. the one we are publishing tomorrow? the biggest i've ever done. can't wait to share it, though you might all have to free up your entire October to explore all of it!

“the person who is CEO at the time a company goes public will, until their death, have sole power over company decisions, regardless of how much investment they have taken from the public” was just never how any of this was intended to work and it is a catastrophe for corporate governance

I have blamed The agents That hacked Your website And which You probably Reasonably thought I controlled Forgive me I am rich And unaccustomed To taking responsibility

This is absolutely true. Centrist politicians have essentially fetishised "tough choices" into being an end in itself. If you don't have to throw someone under the bus to achieve some broader strategic goal (even if you're not certain what that goal is), it's not grown-up politics.

i really think democratic politicians are all just addicted to making compromises. they can't get enough! they would broker a compromise between jeffrey dahmer and his victim to let dahmer eat just a forearm

cheering for Pat McAfee and booing you is sort of like someone tasting food you made and going ugh this fucking sucks! and then opening Chef Boyardee and saying how much better it tastes

I know it's where we're at in 2026 and we all know it, but it bears stating the obvious that every major company in the world is openly throwing a tantrum that people expect them to provide goods and services instead of just sending them a payment of $200 every month for nothing

The world’s richest person ended medical and food support for the world’s poorest people to muted response, with explanations for the muted response including “no one cares about starving kids in Africa” and we’re in a heated debate at the most recent movement centering racial justice being “wacky”

“hey that thing youre all enjoying relies on just a touch of good faith. some prick could exploit that. i could exploit that. i would get invited on podcasts and its just for your own good. i need to be a prick to show you that someone else (not me) might be a prick about this”

The “best” thing about genAI (the quotes are doing heavy work here) is that it’s really lowered the bar on getting into hand-made art. Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.

drunk girl trying to tell her friends that she thinks they are “weekend at Bernie’s” with McConnell, but she has got completely the wrong movie and keeps calling it “doing a Fish Called Wanda” with him and I’m dying

Once you have a lot of money it becomes easier to get more money by doing nothing, which disincentivizes work. This is why all our billionaires post insane bullshit all day. If they had to work they'd be too busy to act like this, doubly benefiting society

When I worked in WaPo Opinions in 2017-2018, senior editors specifically told junior editors not to factcheck Marc Thiessen and other MAGA columnists, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to publish anything by them at all, and “we need them for intellectual diversity.”

It’s very telling that opening your publication to MAGA “thought” requires a massive downgrade in quality control.

15 years ago Musk told the world that we were 5 years away from fairies being real if everyone clapped and now everyone is terrified to stop clapping because they gambled the entire world economy on this cheap maniac's white supremacist drug-addled grandiosity.

I'm not kidding when I say that one Wilhoit blog comment contains more insight into current politics than 98% of professional political punditry.

They should do the world cup like Eurovision where the winner hosts the next one. Also there should be a pre tournament display of all the best chants/songs. Also a costume special explaining the design process for the kits.
