Big shout out to all the people who were mad at me for not wanting them to vote labour cause they were “certain labour will be better on trans rights than the tories“, they couldn’t have done it (segregation) without you

I'm glad the party decided to make today's comms focus this when this could have happened on LITERALLY any other day. We knew the EHRC Code was coming into effect today for like a month. Why wasn't today dedicated to standing up for trans people?

Once this descriptor is used, the equivalent of labeling the individual with their 'correct' phenotype and chromosomes, this queer man can be openly discussed as being just like a heterosexual man. Even when this doesn't make sense; Likened to creepy womanisers or mansplaining antifeminists. /6

The vast majority of these 'bearded men' are probably gay, bisexual and queer men. Trying to explain that they understand part of the queer experience, that they have trans loved ones, and that history is repeating itself. In that way, honestly 'bearded men' feels like a placeholder for a slur. 4/

Let's talk about JK Rowling's 'bearded men'... I want to vent something that's been on my mind: The way transphobic groups and individuals are also actively homophobic. I've experienced it first hand, and know many others have too. 1/

So @amnestyuk.bsky.social @amnesty.org you showed weakness to her, and now it looks like she’s determined to make you an example to anyone who dares to call out anti trans orgs. And she will want nothing less than complete humiliation, which will neuter you as a human rights org. going forward.

Called it 🤷‍♂️ You simply cannot apologise to these people. You cross them once and you're done. Vindictive doesn't even begin to cover it.
