Culture Wars have destroyed Conservatives everywhere. They used to be able to adopt reasonable, evidence-based positions on some issues. Now if something is associated with the Left they’ll slice off their entire face rather than go near it.

The only responsible attitude for liberals and progressives to align on is that all right-wing grievances, claims and believes are not only false, but malicious lies. Nothing passes the mouth of an American conservative in public life that is not meant to harm and destroy the lives of millions.

She did, at significant risk to herself. Tillis then cast the deciding vote in favor of Hegseth. He has always been a coward.

Trump doesn’t force people to do bad things. All he did was show people they could get away with being horrible if they really wanted to, and a lot of powerful people decided they didn’t need to pretend anymore. Especially those in influential positions who could push back but did not.

This is centerpiece Dems should run on in 2026 + 2028. A Congress + presidency under Dem control can legislate a tribunal into being. Pass laws required to hold Trump and his chief enablers accountable. Apply those laws retroactively. Strip courts' jurisdiction to review. And then get to work.

Same with Jan. 6. It's a form of Orwellian doublethink, and why MAGA is properly understood as a post-truth movement. Not really "I believe both of these are true, even though they're contradictory." More like "true-or-false has no value, words are merely tools to get power and hurt enemies."
