Donald Trump lied when he said there are 280,000 noncitizens registered to vote in 4 states. He is saying this to threaten states to turn over their voter rolls to the administration and agree to remove the names of people Trump doesn't want to be able to vote.

I feel like some White House reporter needs to ask Trump about the fact that his DOJ has lost 16 straight cases to access state voter rolls and that in 7 of the cases it was before judges he nominated. Oh and point out that I am still not tired of winning.

My dissent on this, also at @theunpopulist.net. Probably one of the pieces I’ve caught the most flak for from certain quarters, but it’s where I am as a reluctant convert. This Court really is that bad, and it is not an unthinkable apocalypse for Congress to exercise its constitutional check on it.

Tonight, I heard a failed president desperately casting about for excuses to meddle in the upcoming election if he can, or to discredit the result when he loses decisively, as I expect he will.

He's right, not only should he say it, *we all* should be saying it. Black voters and Black political power have been the driving force behind every step of social progress this country has made in the last 60 years, and we forget or ignore that at our peril.
