For me, it's been sharing the policy picking tool. So many people have been somewhat surprised (😏) to see the policies they actually like are being offered by parties they would have never considered... WhichParty NZ - 2026 Election Quiz | Which NZ Party Matches You? share.google/VdBB5sSkwxQE...

Shouldn't that be "right-wing" Free Speech Union? Same writer, same paper, but only the tax group gets called out as "left-wing" huh? (And if your response is everyone knows the FSU is right-wing: a) they do not, and b) some people think the Nazis were socialist because of their name.)

Oh are we identifying the ideology of lobby groups now? That's great! I look forward to the NZ Initiative, Free Speech Union, Taxpayers' Union, and every bank economist being called right-wing in the headlines of their numerous self-generated stories from now on.

Seems to me that not just Brownlie but also the msm is afraid of Peters. They seem incapable of holding him to the same standard they'd have required of everyone else. If anyone is appalled at the comments he makes or the disruption and bile he injects into politics, look to those spineless enablers

Chloe to Speaker re 'lie' "You have punished me - personally - multiple times for the use of that word. "I'm seeking your guidance as to whether this rule applies universally, or there's one rule for us and another for him" she said, pointing at Peters." www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Thing about this is it is't hypocrisy (which is trivial anyway) It isn't even insincerity (which is not) It's just another example of how he had genuinely no fuckin idea of the job of PM that he thought "I will simply fly commercial" was viable in a job that requires him to travel constantly

And, the young folk are being left to rot here. Seriously... more than 1 in 3 young people wanting work or more work. WTAF. So, I say it again... is there nothing that needs doing? Have we got all the infra we need? Are our schools rich in support people? Jeez. [Ends]

RNZ framing this as a wily Peters evading comments, rather than as a coward who refused to answer questions and abused the rules of the house to do so is just par for the course in the current media environment, sadly

I'm a bear of little brain, but in my book taxpayers should not be picking up the bill for any MP to travel to and from party political events, like election fundraisers or party conferences. Either they do it at their own expense, or from party funds. End of line. #nzpol

Not for *government duties* for his role as leader of the National Party for a party *fundraiser* for the *election* Surely this is outside the bounds of what the Air Force should be used for?? Seems like an enormous breach of his access to public assets! www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

hate to keep doing this, & it has ALWAYS been true, but the double standard for left vs right politicians by the media & other institutions has become WAY too stark now if this was a left wing PM we would have rolling coverage for WEEKS - hauling in veterans & air force supporters to attack etc etc
