I still absolutely think that the English rugby team should learn how to morris dance properly and do it in response to the Haka against New Zealand.

Raise The Colours is a terrorist organisation - and should be treated as such.
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.
Anyone who refuses care from a non-white member of NHS staff should be told to pay to go private.
news.sky.com/story/nhs-st... stereotypically this has been seen as Old People, but not only would the old people of now have often been born post-Windrush, lot of this will be younger people who've always lived in a diverse Britain. The guy with a pregnant wife likely millennial at oldest
++BREAKING++ The Daily Telegraph has... *rubs eyes* ...published something sensible about climate change: "I’m coming to the view that the Online Right is going wrong, eschewing compassion or charm, talking itself into corners of angry irrelevance. Take climate change."
I gave evidence to the Transport Select Committee yesterday on Speed for its inquiry into the Road Safety Strategy. I appeared alongside Lilli Matson of TfL, Adrian Berendt of @20splenty.bsky.social and Rob Török, emergency doctor. Hope I got my points across. View: parliamentlive.tv/event/index/...

Very pleased to say the Rural Design Guide is published, we were the principal authors, working alongside WSP. Not all is strictly rural - some content is effectively an update to LTN 1/20, like the inclusion of Cyclops and more detailed guidance on transitions. Enjoy! www.gov.uk/government/p...

Come on—the last thing we need on a car-free street is a training program for future drivers
So do I. I can't help it, because this is exactly the truck that hit and killed my son.
I think about this picture every time I see a big ass truck on the road.
If Muslims or members of the Asian and Black community had set fire to white people’s homes with children running for their lives, do you think we would be discussing legitimate concerns or focussing on who radicalised them and ideological and contributing cultural factors?
It doesn’t feel like that to me when I puff and pant up to Angel!
It’s just facts, Phil! And London got a lot flatter between 2000 and 2026 and that’s why lots more people are cycling now.
Well that's it then. I'll start at the car factory in the morning.
Love this! At London’s famous Columbia Rd flower market, cargo bike delivery service @pedalme.bsky.social just made their 100th delivery of plants by bike, including banana plants, olive trees, bamboo, and fab florals customers couldn't carry home. 🪴
Feels like there’s so much in this That there’s a difference between reporting “news” and facts That we wonder why niche subjects can get overblown publicity yet we perpetuate niche angles in all levels of media Be interested to hear @peterwalker99.bsky.social considered view on this heading
Why is the headline about the 500 e-scooter injuries and not the 30000 caused by motor vehicles? www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...
.4% of the almost 4 road deaths per day in this country were e-scooter riders. That's definitely a good reason to put them in the headline and not the actual death machines.
Why is the headline about the 500 e-scooter injuries and not the 30000 caused by motor vehicles? www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...
Maybe @pactsuk.bsky.social could ask for a right to reply?
And the sub-heading is about 10 e-scooter deaths and not the other 1,546 road collision deaths. So you get *the message*.
30000 is normal and to be expected. 500 is new and scare-worthy.
Why is the headline about the 500 e-scooter injuries and not the 30000 caused by motor vehicles? www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...
Nearly 500 seriously injured in e-scooter collisions in Great Britain last year
Ten people, all of whom were e-scooter riders, were killed in collisions compared with six in 2024

The Rejoin petition jumped from 70K to 75K yesterday. It needs to hit 100K by June 8th when the petition closes in order to get a debate in Parliament. The 10th anniversary of the Brexit vote is June 23rd.
If you're in the UK, please support and share this petition to hold a UK-wide briefing on climate and nature risks. It's growing fast, let's get to 10,000 by the end of this week! Then the government will respond to it 100,000 and it is debated in parliament petition.parliament.uk/petitions/76...
Petition: Hold a UK-wide briefing on climate and nature risks

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area. (15 in Manhattan btw)
There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.
