narrative designer in the US “faux leftist worthless dumbfuck” en & jp he/they

It speaks volumes of job hunting in the US that you walk out of some interviews thinking “fuck, even unemployment is better than this” The American labor market will do everything possible to strip us of our health, our dignity, or both

"Rena" sent this from Moses Lake WA where she is weeding carrots for a non-union company. She shared: The air is bad. See my cell phone. The AQI is 166, which is unhealthy. We start at 4am. We'll work 7-8 hrs & earn minimum wage. #WeFeedYou

idk why y’all are mad, bsky does need to expand beyond it’s liberal bubble, those people suck ass and we need more leftists, commies, socialists, anarchists, syndicalists, hell give us some nihilists too

Hey uhhhhhh I finished my fuckign. My normal Halo fanfic that wasn't a shitpost. That other people liked. Exploration of a way the Arbiter and the Master Chief could've started to become friends in a timeline gap in Halo 3 because that's the kind of thing I do. archiveofourown.org/works/395900...

Bumping to share what prompted this: I worked my way through Against The State in a single week back in April @jamesstout.bsky.social‘s writing is sincere and straight to the point. I’ll probably be rereading this book as soon as I get my copy back from a friend

I regularly forget how much I enjoy reading solid nonfiction and it pisses me offfff If anyone’s got recs they really enjoyed and learned a lot from, I’d be happy to add to my reading list

Oh also I've been taking 65 million years to read King Tyrant by Mark Witton, which is a wonderful illustrated/be-diagramed book about what we know about Tyrannosaurus Rex. I am very slow with it cause it's not an audiobook but it's really really really cool.

Couple more: Careless People - Wynn-Williams (The book Facebook was trying to ban, absolutely jawdropping tbh) Enshittification - Doctorow (The actual book about that idea and how it happens)

The War Within a War - Haygood (antiblack racism and the Vietnam War) American Wolf - Blakeslee (The killing of wolf O-Six) Underland - MacFarlane (Gorgeous book about undgergound space/the anthropocene) Open Veins of Latin America - Galeano (The history of exploitation of latin america)

making the case to the firing people out of cannons company that i could bring great value as a flinder or possibly a smithereen

Need people to remember how much, how long the city fought against exactly this fate. I hope those who weren't convinced in 2019-2020 by the umbrellas and arrows of fire are now. All of that anger and desperation was justified.

#HongKong: The authorities continue their crackdown on independent bookshops. We are saddened to hear that Greenfield Bookstore has announced its closure a few weeks after a police raid, becoming the third bookshop to shut this month: hongkongfp.com/2026/07/29/5...

AltNPS constantly steals from journalists, so I made a list of those journalists. Give the list a follow, and you'll have a solid list of real news sources. These writers deserve your attention!

Like that was the coolest part of the vibe of Halo 1. Yeah nobody has ever seen a colossal ringworld before, it has far-reaching implications for all sorts of things. We don't know anyone who cares about that shit though, we're in the middle of a war, we're just landing on it. Literally do not care

Finally got around to transferring photos. Here’s another angle of the smoke plume from the Little Giant fire, in the last light before sunset Taken on Friday 7/24 near Redmond, WA
