Cockpits, dashboards, crew stations - if it's in a vehicle and you sit in it, it belongs here! Run by @wildweasel486.bsky.social . I try to include full context in alt texts. This account is maintained 100% manually and is not on a schedule.
I wanted to practice some #pixelart for a simple cockpit, so put a small prototype together. Cockpit done with #Aseprite + #Blender + #Inkscape based on McLaren MP4/5. The track is an old model I created for a game made by @idaho06.bsky.social The car is the MP4/4 but hard to see from within.
Some dogfight showing off the new terrain and weather. Hard to believe this all started as void main() {}. #indiedev #solodev #gamedev #flightsim #ww2 #wwii #retrogaming #screenshotsaturday
Just how accurate were the tracks in Geoff Crammond's Formula One Grand Prix (released 1991 and 1992 depending on format)? Here's a side by side comparison between F1GP (Amiga version) and real-life. The real lap has been adjusted to match speed only. #simracing #retrogaming #f1 #senna #monza
Stumbled onto this picture again and I don't think fantasy art gets cooler than this.

Smooth polygons, smooth grooves, and smooth racing. No Second Prize manages to pull off an impressively speedy motorcycle racing experience, even on stock Amiga 500/600 hardware. 📺: No Second Prize, Thalion Software, 1992 (Also on Atari ST)

I LOVE how over the top the UI is for Phantasy Star 4's vehicle battles holy shit
When a game drops sick euro-beats mixed with lore drops about the sunken 3DFX Voodoo-rendered world you're in as you play. “They call it… Aqua.” 🎶 📺: Archimedean Dynasty, Blue Byte, 1996 (PC DOS)
