Exciting news: Portland's Bureau of Planning and Sustainability has released the Inner Eastside Status and Timeline Report!

One way to prevent drivers from blasting through intersections, or at least reduce the amount who do: neighborhood traffic circles. Again, none of this can be deployed overnight and, until they are, enforcement will be necessary, but there are design solutions already in use in a lot of the US.

We need to go straight to abolishing the Senate, which is SUPER undemocratic. Californian's have 1/100th the vote compared to someone living in Wyoming. Statehood for PR/DC is great, but it just encourages R's to pull a stunt like splitting Texas into 10 states.

Kamala Harris: I know this is going to be controversial coming from me in particular, we need to revisit the electoral college. We need to revisit the point of expanding the court. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.

Lifted pickups are extremely dangerous. Their blind zones are enormous, and they can crush anyone or anything in their path. Keep in mind: Lift kits fall under state jurisdiction. State legislators and regulators can restrict them, or even ban them completely.

I stopped at a red light on a road with no bike lanes, typical in Honolulu. A driver in a lifted pickup pulled up behind me, leaned out the window, and yelled, "Hey buddy, get the fuck out of my way." I promptly got on the sidewalk and waited for the green light. Cars turn people into sociopaths.

If no one is parking there, why not make it a two way protected bike lane?
