Unthinkable just 10 years ago: Almost 3/4 of the EU’s electricity in 2024 was from renewable energy sources and nuclear. Gas and coal electricity generation is at record low levels.
This was WH Smith’s in Putney. Built when I was about 4, Brutalist in style, gone in 2019. When I was a kid it contained almost the whole world. Books, magazines, comics, toys, games, stationery. seems a terrible shame to kill a brand like that. A world of memory gone
