There are many appropriate uses for sarcasm, but it is as a response to being patronised where it is at its most beautiful!

There's this caff near where I live that does a rather nice crispy very sweet cut up pancake thing with compote. Unfortunately, they insist on calling it Kaiserschmarrn, which annoys the fuck out of me everytime I see the place, cause a proper Kaiserschmarrn is quite different
Two adjacent allotment plots are currently empty next to my mom's, which I guess is the reason this raptor is visiting more often. I think it might be a buzzard, but not sure. Hope it sticks around and deals with rodents regularly 😃
I'm reminded of one weekend late 1989, when a local (Berlin) radio station had their usual brunch program where folks could phone in and choose which album to play in full. They chose Haus der Lüge by Einstürzende Neubauten. Mind altering experience to hear that on radio youtu.be/nY4LLQo20-c

I started getting followed by some "film festivals" and "writing festivals" and thought "oh, these are cool!" Then I looked a little closer. They're all part of a network that preys on writers, charging us for reviews, and feeding our stuff into slop generators. So I made a list.👋🏻🖕🏻😠
Black Pus: Line 6 DL4 captures a live loop from oscillator on kick. This jam is pretty simple: vocals, a high twirling oscillator sound that can be turned off or be pitched super low with a whammy. at the end i kick in the loop, which doesn’t really add that much . Mainly its the whammy dive bombs
New @chirpendale.bsky.social jam is bonkers. Would love to know how the synths are working, sounds like the drums are triggering midi sometimes? www.instagram.com/reel/Dbbq3cF...
Despite the slapstick and uneven pacing, I can heartily recommend the Korean series The WONDERfools. It's kinda a bit like Scooby Doo meets superheroes, just without the dog. Worth it for the finale alone, it's great to laugh so much during an extended fight scene

One thing I appreciate about Role Play with Kaley Cuoco, apart from it being damn good fun, is that the scenes set in Berlin are in real places. The airport is actually BER, the club chase scene is in Monarch at Kottbusser Tor, which is also the U-Bahn station she runs to, no weirdo teleport cuts.
I want to watch whatever social event it was in 2013 that caused the uk media lot to embrace transphobia en masse, like a flock of birds turning in lockstep.
You can briefly time travel to any time and place to witness any historical event. You can't affect the course of history; you can just witness it. Where do you go/what do you see?
If you, like me, have absolutely no idea what you're doing w.r.t. pruning shrubs and trees, this is a very helpful, no-nonsense guide: https://fieldreport.caes.uga.edu/publications/B949/basic-principles-of-pruning-woody-plants/
Basic Principles of Pruning Woody Plants | CAES Field Report

the whole "women's sports exist to protect women from men" framing is hilarious, given that a lot of these divisions were initially formed because men were deeply embarrassed any time a woman beat them at a sport olympic shooting was mixed gender right up until a woman won the gold

A lot of people don’t realize the dust bowl wasn’t a natural phenomenon. It happened when agrobusiness interests dramatically transformed the plains without regard for drought, and created vicious dust storms that choked whole families to death. That’s what I think of when I read about data centers.
1960s: the computer when programmed correctly can perform trillions of operations without a single mistake: Pentium fdiv bug era: in some rare cases excel may let a bug in the CPU slip past. LLM era: we rolled 6x10E9 dice and days have 37 hours, finger count is random, your files were deleted lol.

So basically this is not just an outbreak, but an ecological transition that may take a lot of effort to reverse. A bit like if malaria were to reappear as an endemic parasite in Europe.

People chatting in a club. There seem to be extremely few scenes around that are anywhere near reality. The pink room scene in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me comes close.
Can you think of a movie/ tv trope that is a wildly inaccurate representation of what they’re trying to depict? For me, it’s science stuff . They’ll show a scientist and say something like “ he has a ph. D in molecular biology “ and then have him solving physics or organic chemistry problems
