Love that everyone my age and older is rightfully dunking on this shit. We cannot let conservative fearmongers rewrite history in real time like this. It was never “reassuring.” I was a dumb teenager when DHS came to be and even I remember going “yikes that sounds dire as hell.”

it's very clear that this is a template for how they're going to approach other cities they do not and will not have enough people to do it everywhere all at once but if you live in a city there's a very good chance that an occupying army will show up at your door in the next few years
