Who's the consensus best NBA player of all time? MJ or LeBron? To find out, I compiled all of the journalist player rankings that I could find. I found 54 in total. Here's what the experts think...

I love Talarico and hope he wins. But he’s already raised $70M On the flipside, control of critical state legislatures will come down to seats where candidates raise 0.1% of that. I’ve researched the highest leverage swing district candidates you should donate to secure.actblue.com/donate/donat...

Donate to the candidates on the front lines of the fight against MAGA gerrymandering

These are anti-MAGA state candidates in *extremely* close races

West Coast cities are caught in a doom loop where the problem keeps growing but political elites refuse to admit that solving it requires more funding. Every few years someone comes along promising to "finally" crack down, gets elected and fails to deliver. That would have been worth writing about.

"In just four months, the borough’s four police officers have pulled over and checked the status of dozens of motorists — mainly commercial truck drivers — and turned over 32 arrestees to ICE" important @willbunch.bsky.social dispatch from area where I grew up www.inquirer.com/opinion/moun...

This quaint Pa. borough is a ‘speed trap’ nabbing immigrants for ICE | Will Bunch

Police in Mount Holly Springs, a tiny borough in central Pennsylvania, have turned over 32 immigrants to ICE since March.

I have been following the story of St. Paul Mayor Kaoly Her’s repeated sexual harassment of city employees, and in light of this statement it is clearly time for her to resign her position as mayor. This is a breach of ethics and trust, and for Her to refer to it as “attempts at humor” is galling.

Text of St. Paul Mayor Kaoly Her’s statement on the allegations of sexual harassment as reported by Lou Raguse. It reads:
“Mayor Kaohly Her:
As Mayor, I take my responsibility to treat every employee with professionalism and respect very seriously. I recognize that some of my attempts at humor fell short of the standard I expect of myself. We have fully cooperated with the independent
investigation since it began in April and will continue to do so. I respect the investigative process and believe it is important to allow it to reach its conclusion. I remain confident that the full facts will come to light, and I will continue to focus on serving the people of St. Paul with integrity and dedication."

One thing you can see in the latest Stancil blowup is that a sizable share of this website thinks that good intentions are the only thing that matter in policymaking, and expressing skepticism that a policy will really work as intended is equivalent to stealing food from the poor.

It would appear that all articles authored by former Minneapolis Times editor Carol Becker — of which there were previously 175-180 — have now been scrubbed from the august publication's website. There's undoubtedly a story here of great public interest to local sickos.

Did Becker and the Mpls Times split? She's no longer listed as their editor, and they no longer link to her author page, though it still exists: minneapolistimes.com/author/carol... She was publishing multiple articles per day until Jan. 16 and then just had one in February and none after.

more text messages have been shared between angie craig and john hoffman via dogdaysofminnesota on threads the hoffmans were hurt that craig followed up every check in about how they were doing after the attempted assassination with an ask for his endorsement for her senate run

It is also very telling that Angie Craig's biggest selling point, in her own words, is that she can win an election over Republicans. She doesn't advertise her policies or beliefs, just that she can win an election. Doesn't matter what she does once she wins, just that she does.

My biggest pet peeve with Peggy Flanagan (and I'll admit this is small), is that she says "I will just say this" before every answer. You don't have to tell me you will say something, you can just say that something.

I like Peggy Flanagan, and I really really dislike Angie Craig. I am worried though for this race. Sometime Flanagan isn't quite as good at answering questions as I would like. Every politician avoids questions, Flanagan doesn't often, but when she does she is not good at it.

really not impressive angie craig is spending her time opposing ICE now - that's called atonement for laken riley peggy flanagan points out craig stood by this vote for 14 months, through operation metro surge, renee good's murder and alex pretti's murder and STILL she did not say she regretted it

I need put some Minnesota Senate race thoughts into a post that I can reference for out-of-state folks who keep getting this wrong: - Angie Craig is to the right of state DFL and was even before her Laken Riley vote - This is not establishment vs. insurgent. Peggy Flanagan is a two-term Lt. Governor

So, this quote is from me and, after we both sensed the reporter didn't like my full answer, I literally joked with my partner that this would be the only part he'd use! 😂 The reporter was stopping folks walking down Hennepin in front of Reign Saturday. The full context of my statement: 1/5

Even with these new security measures, would people still have safety concerns in the neighborhood?

“In general, I feel safe,” says Heather, who didn’t want her last name used in this story. “I don’t walk around the city much after dark anywhere. Just I think being a woman, that’s one of the things you’re taught.”

After a shooting outside a Minneapolis nightclub last week, police are ramping up safety measures in Uptown.

minnesota state senator john hoffman revealed tonight at the peggy flanagan rally in st. paul that angie craig asked him for his endorsement for US senate while he was still in the ICU after vance boelter shot him really appalling anecdote!

john hoffman, MN state senator who survived an assassination attempt by vance boelter, who killed mark and melissa hortman, is here supporting omar fateh. he said fateh was his first visitor when he was in hospital. gave him a note saying “we’ll get that fucker” that is still on his fridge

The median newspaper columnist writing about bike infrastructure is like, "I once had to park 150 feet away from the coffee shop so I talked to 2 other drivers, a failing restaurant owner, and a person who once saw a cyclist run a stop sign about how bike lanes ruined our lives."

Photos from 6 months ago today: Smashed up ICE vehicles, utility pole signs, ICE agents filming protesters at Whipple, thousands march through Downtown Minneapolis in one of the largest marches in state history. 18 hours later Alex Pretti was disarmed by federal agents and shot to death.
