You're looking at a long-nosed potoroo (Potorous tridactylus) Well, TWO, actually. These odd-looking animals native to Australia are in a group called "rat-kangaroos". They're also mighty 'truffle'-hunters. Let's talk about their neat relationship with subterranean FUNGUS.

I should be clear that the architecture of Bluesky makes it the social media place I most like to be. I'm not on social media to be an influencer or instigator; I want to hang out with folks and have an enjoyable time. This place delivers on that. I hope it continues to do so for a long time.

The shaman of Bad Dürrenberg are the remains of a 25-35 year old woman, who was buried 8600 to 9000 year ago in Germany. Around her, were the remains of an extraordinary head-dress, made from the bones and teeth of different animals such as deer, wild boar, crane and turtle.
