I keep seeing videos of a guy who catches crabs and lobsters, cracks all the barnacles off them, puts a shrimp in their claws and throws them back. can you imagine. abducted by aliens but they just give you a spa day and hand you two hot dogs and let you go
I find this stuff fascinating; this is basically the animation world's equivalent of how pixel art games were designed to be played on glass tube TVs. The "imperfections" created in the process of publishing the work are part of the planned end product.

Guys I know they've made several movies that were take-offs, adaptations, or otherwise inspired by Seven Samurai. My point is you don't have people going "Kurosawa's Seven Samurai is outdated, they need to remake it with modern QOL features like color and post-credits scenes"

No one goes "Oh they need to remake The Godfather and Seven Samurai and Jaws!" But with video games everyone's like "Oh yeah, Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece. They should Fix it."
