As the money rises for manga sales, the rates fall. I have known Jan as a dear friend for years--she has been to my house. I took her to my favorite dive Ethiopian restaurant. The courage she exhibited tonight was nothing less than heroic.

Jan is one of the best, and even better--the courage to tell clients to their faces in-person that they owe us better! Manga and light novels are some of the worst paid gigs, and sometimes it takes us 2 months to even get paid.
