So the dumbest mfers on the planet are suing my friend for defamation cause she was outspoken about not wanting their racist festival in her local community. It is a clear and obvious attempt to silence their critics with costly frivolous lawsuits, and wear them down emotionally and financially.

Earlier this week, I received a submission for @thevoice.dog that I'm very certain was AI generated, which I rejected. Because I see so many people talking about the problem, I want to go over why I was and still am so confident that it was in fact AI. Because you CAN in fact tell.
I've just seen about 40 kids sneak into watch 'The Odyssey' without paying by hiding in a giant wooden coat.

No, the thing Bona mentions that made this story irresistible is...the premise. That's it. Just the premise. No wonder you all got rolled by a bot.
Was literally explaining this kind of thing to my husband this morning while trying to give context for the current state of spec fic. Jailbreaking the kid out of Omelas. Solving the cold equations with the power of friendship. Whedon quipping all the way.

Seeing so many gamer fanboys going “OMG we’re getting a new Obsidian Fallout!!!!!” - while just not acknowledging that this seems to have come about because of mass layoffs from Xbox. So long as people get their favourite treats I suppose…
There are plenty of takeaways from "punk anthology accepting AI", but one I don't see: if you aim for the aesthetics of _who is writing_ rather than _what is written_ you'll end up missing something extremely obvious when you do actually read the manuscript

So. I hate to do this. We were pulled over on the way back, it turns out we forgot to get the MOT after that lady hit us with her car. We are now without the car until we can get it sorted (it'll likely fail, too) and poor, so we could do with the money for the MOT and additional disability costs.
