Not sure if it's my favourite (I've only been awake for five minutes and am yet to even put my glasses on), but I've always been partial to the drop of instantly recognisable guitar from 'Blister In The Sun' by The Violet Femmes used at the end of Grosse Pointe Blank as they drive away together

So much of that late 70s and early 80s anime sci fi design work owes a large debt to Murakami. Looking at his stuff, and without explicitly knowing he'd designed it, I could tell he'd been responsible for the 3-piece shuttle from Ulysses 31 when I saw he was a mechanical designer on the show.

in roughly 15 years I’m going to switch my professional focus to giving therapy to kids whose parents raised them with AI and I’m going to make enough money to buy San Francisco
So I woke up this morning to find out that Ozzy Osbourne’s son made a video falsely accusing me of using AI to write a Rolling Stone article about the Tate brothers.
Which was directed by Bassim Tariq, the same guy who was originally going to direct Mahershala in Blade. The silver lining is we're getting a much better and more intrepid movie than the one we would have gotten...

I’m not sure whether this is just a psychological difference or AI bros fundamentally don’t understand the nature of an artistic experience, but: I don’t want a personalised film/book/podcast. I want to see/read/hear the same one as everyone else, so I can read reviews or discuss it with my friends
I've taken to stopping, arms out and asking 'are you serious?' when not given enough room by 2-3 people walking in a line on a pavement or in a corridor.

In our own tests, we added a “bomb blast and crater” to an area of Los Angeles. This is a misinformation time bomb, will 100% be abused www.404media.co/google-earth...
