Bitterness and cynicism are a form of surrender, when anger at injustice remains but the will to confront it is dulled by resignation. As true warriors, let anger at injustice be bright and righteous, and let it drive us to confront its cause, stand in its way, and cast it down.

One thing that has been interesting returning to finish my college degree in the AI era has been a new focus on ongoing projects that build across a course versus a series of stand-alone assignments. This was not a thing the first time I was in college, and I think it’s amazing.

It’s always the person with “anarchist” in their bio who is the most dyed in the wool complying in advance fascist lackey. It’s not illegal to resist fascism. If you immediately assume all resistance is illegal and should be approached with extreme caution, it is you who are the fascist.

There is a movie adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s “Harrison Bergeron”, it came out in 2009, it features a cast of only white people, and has a bitchy looking lady president who literally shoots Harrison Bergeron to death with a gun on live TV. It’s exactly as good a film as you think it is.

So I’m reading a book on the history of the Chinese in America, and I’m at the Chinese Exclusion Act part. The Trump administration is currently being *MORE RACIST* than the people who enacted Chinese Exclusion in the 1880s, in terms of stuff like respecting people’s citizenship.

“The thing that’s been the most difficult so far is that, in all of our interactions with the government, they’re denying that any of her birth certificates, which are from Laurel, Maryland, her records of immunization, medical records — they’re denying the authenticity of them.”

Started reading a random comedy memoir that was published in 2017 and likely written in the pre-Trump era. Y’all, everything was so much better then. It was truly a different time. It felt like I was reading the 1913 society pages from the trenches at the Somme.

I was just about to brag that my Congressional Rep didn't vote for that roll call denouncing socialism, only to find out she is cosponsoring a bill called "AI For All". You win some, you lose some. Or at least that's what Gemini tells me in between attempts at spelling blueebberrry.

"both sides are bad" is a thought-terminating cliche that doesn't actually provide any solution to the democrats being worthless when it comes to making actual good changes (because they dont want to) But its hard to properly fight them when the republicans are planning to do another holocaust.

I know it's cliché to say this, but if you're thinking about transitioning, just fucking do it already. You can always stop if you don't like it, but if you wait years and years and then do it and realize it was the best decision you ever made, you'll bitterly regret not having done it sooner.

Conservative people do not think systemically. When something bad happens to them or someone they view sympathetically, they do not then extend that experience to "... and therefore this is wrong and we should stop it." They believe their experience is the exception.
