NE -> DC. Progressive politics and college football. Onetime punk, forever a Nebraskan.

Metabolism slowing down with age is such a drag When I was 20 I could eat anything but only had the money for junk I can actually afford to eat at good restaurants now!!

Haley Stevens was out with a gracious concession and a commitment to support Abdul El-Sayed within about one hour of the AP call in her race. If she can buck up first thing in the morning, everyone else can. That’s actual political leadership.

I meant to post this last night but if you’re mad about any of the primary results you got 24 hours to bleed, try not to say anything you’ll regret in 48, and then it’s Blue No Matter Who.

Young people don't think politics is about proper tax rates or balancing efficiency and justice. Young people — and in this sense they're just seeing the world more clearly — understand politics now is about status. Who deserves to have it stuck to them? Who should do the sticking? These are our Qs

Abdul won, and everybody should be rallying around him. It’s important that we defeat Rogers and take back the Senate to effectively end Trump’s second term. Ignore anybody telling you otherwise. We can get back to fighting with each other after the general election.

The media's takeaway from an El-Sayed win is the same as it would have been from a Stevens win, and the same as it will be if El-Sayed wins the general, or if he loses it: everyone, no matter who they are, needs to take several steps to the right.

If you have any history of abuse, do not watch the video of that representative being interviewed. I shouldn’t have and I am still amped up hours later. Those of you lucky enough not to speak abuser should, though. The guy is textbook.

Miller is like a walking K-Tel record titled "Golden Classics of Domestic Violence." Track 1: "She's Crazy!" Track 2: "Those Lying Bitches" Track 3: "Parental Alienation Blues" Track 4: "Where's My Due Process?" Track 5: "Actually, She Abused Me" Track 6: "It Takes Two to Tango"

MAX MILLER: She's 2.5 years old. She doesn't have the ability to articulate what you just said. TAPPER: But you just told me that she said she was scared to go to mommy's house. Now you're saying she's not capable of saying "Daddy kill you"? MILLER: What about due process?
