I agree with this, people have no idea how bad air quality was in the 70s and 80s. The reason so many in Londoners wore black was to hide the dirt. Where I lived on the Isle of Dogs, 95% of the kids had Asthma before the age of 5

Air quality. I grew up in the Los Angeles basin in the 70s and 80s and remember having to stay inside because the smog was so bad - Stage 2 smog alerts, they were called. Apparently they haven't had one of those since 1988. Haven't had a stage one smog alert since 2003.

live nation is actively killing publications that cover new artists while also promoting festivals that almost exclusively cater to nostalgia and legacy acts. these problems are not unrelated.

Progressives didn’t get the big election night they wanted

The media's takeaway from an El-Sayed win is the same as it would have been from a Stevens win, and the same as it will be if El-Sayed wins the general, or if he loses it: everyone, no matter who they are, needs to take several steps to the right.
