Photosensitive Fox. Book lover. Blogger. Artist. Nerd. Engineer. Writer. Gamer. Aerialist. Geek. Streamer. She/her. 'May your ink never mix with your tea.'

Getting a coach who a) actually knows her shit and is doing a proper assessment, b) does not believe in no pain no gain or that aerial should be painful and c) that understands hypermobile bodies doing fun stuff is a life changer

I am not surprised that x that shall not be named, (who was an Elon fanboy, probably still is) is involved in the whole shill AI to the government. He was always one to try and get credit for things he didn't do. Same habits it seems.

Artists: - Likes do not determine your value - It's okay to not create - Not everything you make has to be important or good - You can make things just for yourself - You're allowed to rest - You're so much more than what you make

I don't use social media because I'm bored, I use it as, a default to avoid the, awareness that I am exhausted but cannot remedy it in that moment (like while working). And so here I trying to figure out what alternative I have for "I am exhausted, do not want to feel it because I can't rest now"

message for new artists, old ones, literally anyone trying to figure out life: it's cool and good actually to try stuff even if you know you'll be bad at it. it's not cringe, it's cool as hell, and it's quite literally VERY GOOD for you. the only way to get experienced is to start inexperienced

If you're a trans person in England (or the parent or guardian of a young trans person in England) I strongly recommend doing this immediately. The new data principles for the shared NHS record in England - based on the transphobic and psuedoscientific Sullivan Review - are designed to out us.

You can opt-out of having a shared NHS record. I opted out over a decade ago now and it has never affected any of the medical care I receive except having to give new doctors a list of my medicine because they can't pull it off my GPs system. www.nhs.uk/using-the-nh...

It takes a certain amount of courage to be kind. People trying to erode society often exploit fear and insecurity. If you're constantly worried about other people busting down your door, you're going to find tolerance almost impossible. So, defy that thinking. Be brave, stay kind. That's it.

16) Stole this one from a recent skeet I saw: If generative AI could REALLY make the next GTA in 6 months with 10 staff, or write the next bestseller, or produce 10 blockbusters a day? They wouldn't be trying to sell it to YOU. They would keep it for themselves and guard it from you ferociously.

Blue Bottle Games, as a policy, does not use generative AI. It's something we've discussed as a team, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately, we decided it was not for us. Recently, while chatting with a colleague, she mentioned it was useful hearing our reasoning. So: Sharing time! 1/12

Begging folks to learn that “thing is old” is not the same thing as “thing is valuable”, which in turn is not the same thing as “thing is worthwhile”. Both in costuming and library work, I dealt with donations and secondhand acquisitions, and folks have a really hard time with this.

Recently, every time I paint for joy, the results astound me. A friend has cancer so we set up a crafts night whenever she feels well enough for me to pop by. We ended up spending four hours painting a teapot each and it was so much fun, but also so pretty.

Top view of a hand painted teapot. The handle has a star in light yellow and a translucent blue background. Edge of the top of the teapot is metallic purple and the lid is a crescent moon with stars in a night sky. The spout goes away from a celestial theme, and instead has a pink carnation/peony type of flower in light pink with magenta outlining delicate petals (this was so so hard to do) from it swirls of vines and leaves wrap the spout.
