There's at least some COVID-related scars to the wine industry, too. Wine is a "socialize in small groups" beverage -- and the death of third spaces killed a lot of that demand. That said, from my days as an OG wine influencer, I never thought I'd see California producing more white than red.

This is a good piece, but again, I just find it fascinating the decline in alcohol consumption tends to be framed as a business problem and not a public health gain.

Can't get numb to this: The United States is stuck in a war it started, cannot end, and may further escalate to no avail, having dismantled its diplomatic apparatus, depleted its military stockpile, and destroyed its credibility. A historic strategic mistake harming millions in many different ways.

This is so cool. Imagine being a very young guitarist and getting to play one of the most iconic acoustic guitar intros in rock history for Nancy Wilson — the woman who wrote it, and one of the greatest living rock guitarists. (IG: Sierra Levesque)
