True allyship isn’t a flag pin in June or a temporary social media graphic. It’s confronting bigotry—especially when it comes from candidates you support. If protecting a politician matters more to you than defending a marginalized community, that ally hat no longer fits. 🧢❌

Our transit network makes it very easy to get downtown but much more challenging to get anywhere else. Our radial network is both our greatest strength and our greatest weakness. New neighborhood-to-neighborhood and suburb-to-suburb transit options need to be a top priority for NITA.

This idea that Dems have to vote for anti-trans bills in order to gain power and undo them is such a brazen and obvious con. He even wraps it up by promising dignity and respect all around if he gets your vote.

Trans people have never stopped advocating from a basic rights and autonomy frame. Cis people decided that rights and autonomy are wrong when it comes to children who want to play sports or not risk being killed by their parents by being outed by teachers.

Much as we should acknowledge Actually Existing DSA FoPo, lets not ignore Actually Existing Liberal FoPo. One of those ran the country and shipped $10s of billions of weapons to Israel during a genocide and the other is mostly online people LARPing or endorsing city counselor races.

I think one of the thorny things that Americans simply refuse to grapple with is that post-integration political realignment in the 60-70s didn’t actually create a “liberal” and “conservative” party system it created a “proud to be a bigot” and “desperate to not look like a bigot” party system.
