If you actually believed in democracy, you’d admit that—sometimes—you lose elections. You’d admit that when a majority of “them” vote against you, you lose. “We won’t let them win.” That’s corruption and tyranny. At least he’s honest, I suppose.

We need at some point to talk about American Evangelicalism as a heretical movement. We should not indulge the delusion of a bunch or nuts who cherry-pick the Bible to rationalize otherwise indefensible 21st century bigotries that they are representatives of a global faith.

OpenAI are naked capitalists who don't think that any ethical concerns or guardrails should get in the way of development, and Anthropic seems to believe they're priests tending to the machine god. It's no wonder that AI has a public image issue when there's not a reasonable-presenting AI company.

Asha nailed this. This guy wrote a literal toddler fanfiction casting himself as Wizard Kash doing King Donald’s bidding because no institution would take him seriously. Handing national security to a court jester is pure farce. He needs crayons, not a security clearance.

Personally I believe there should be consequences for a juror who admittedly says they have doubt about a defendant’s guilt and still decides to vote to convict that person and send them to prison for life.
Write it on the blackboard a thousand times: they will have to demolish the ballroom, the arch and so forth. They will have to make a show of it. You will get the usual sons of bitches saying we don’t do that in this country. We do now. That is not emotion, it’s politics. To do less is dereliction.

The "offense" committed by Haitians is that they were here legally, working jobs, completing degrees, and so forth, and then the administration abruptly revoked their status, rendering their presence illegal. They have literally been TRANSFORMED into illegal immigrants by the admin's own policies.

A promising young man, a high school honors grad who joined JROTC and dreamed of becoming a doctor, killed himself because of the Trump admin’s obsession with hurting Haitians and the humiliating shame of an ICE ankle monitor. His blood is on their hands.
