I had a BattleTech short story published in Shrapnel #23 - 'Heirloom'. I've had other ideas since then and I'm going to have another go; one is a sequel to Heirloom, the other is based on a famous battle in the lore. I'm a big BattleTech fan from the FASA days, and the Catalyst stuff is great.

I've seen it half a dozen times and I still have no idea what or who the many antagonists are, no real sense of the broader political and social context. Shit just happens and it looks cool as hell. Great movie.

I feel like the Galaxy-class warp nacelles have become a dated element. I've tried to design my own updated/refit versions a few times, without much success. These look very nice!

Dartmouth is the runaway hit for me, a little Buran and a lotta Intel Bundle. Massive kudos to you and @scorpiondesign.bsky.social! I'd love to see 25c versions of the DSC Klingon ships even if it's not kit-bashable (like the KDF recruit ship), especially Qugh. Every ship should have a 25c variant!

Happy birthday to Ike Eisenmann, who played Peter Preston in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Preston was Scotty's nephew, a detail cut from the theatrical release but restored in subsequent cuts and spelled out clearly in the novelization.
Originally I was going to do something different with my #battletech Scouring Sands OPFOR but in the end I decided to go for the canon scheme. I tried using makeup sponges for this, which I quite enjoyed. Now it’s time to start the paneling and detailing!
