hmmm...what it is about this guy that isn't catching the attention of the people who are sometimes really concerned about academic fraud...you know, people who swarm other profs at the slightest rumor, even when it's a guy whose work they don't know anything about...can't quite put my finger on it

Virtually no anti-Canada US constituency before this year, and virtually no pro-Putin constituency before 2016. Out of nowhere. Now millions say that’s their position.
Perfected? They lost the federal trifecta in the last election; I think there’s still room for tweaks.
As with so much else, standing has been a hurdle for attempts to stop the illegal Trump coins. But something state and local governments could do is say they won't accept them as legal tender, because they aren't legal. Let some jackass sue you over it.

The value of Graham Platner is that right up until all his red flags came toppling down upon him is that he is the most naked example of the amount of grace & credibility Simply Being White grants you. It's like a parody, but it's deadly serious; the Commerce Department (which includes Census, NOAA, and others) has outright deleted "don't alter or suppress scientific findings for political reasons" from its scientific integrity rules. Seriously.

It's not until he says the magic words, that he fears losing control, that it fully clicks. It's not that he believes philanthropy is bad, it's that the risk of someone receiving his money who he doesn't approve of is a bigger problem than the risk that his money helps no one. That speaks volumes.

This sounded especially bizarre to me. So I looked it up. Duffy seems to have confused the EPA ending a credit for “engines that automatically turn off when vehicles come to a complete stop and restart when drivers take their feet off the brake pedal” with the START buttons that are now universal.
