Had a kind of baffling experience at Harvard Square Station where an @mbta.com worker told me there were no more trains and tried to stop me entering as the Transit app, signs in the station, and a voice announcement all confirmed the next (and last) train was 8 minutes away 🤨

I am speaking as a Boston resident, a transportation professional, and former Planning Department staff who served as PLAN: East Boston transportation project manager and transportation reviewer for 355 Bennington: this decision is borderline cruel, completely tone deaf, and legally problematic.

Last time I wrote about Rep. Decker, it was about the 130 different lobbyists who donated to her campaign. This time I'm diving into the time she repeatedly lied to the public, and explaining _why_ she did it: the way she views her job as a public official. letschangecambridge.us/articles/dec...

A contempt for constituents: why Rep. Decker lies

A detailed example of how Rep. Decker has lied to the public, and some thoughts about why she did it.

At ≈22:50, a driver in a white Honda Accord with illegally tinted plate covers just turned right from Grove onto Highland near Davis Square and nearly hit a crossing pedestrian. I pointed that out, and the passenger told the driver to run me over 🫠 #MA_5XHY38

This is devastating. Louisa was everything you could ask of a colleague and a human being -- smart, committed, hardworking, and, above all, kind and compassionate. I am heartbroken for her family and for the many people who have lost a beloved friend and colleague today.

A cycling advocate and transportation planner for the city of Boston was identified as the cyclist who was struck and killed in a crash near Roxbury Crossing this morning.

A secondary point, but big kudos to @jfh01.bsky.social for sticking up for his team. The only apparent leader in an article chock-full of big important names.

A public records request reveals how @mayorwu.boston.gov's election-year "review" of transportation projects created a duplicate layer of authority inside City Hall that fomented confusion and stalled urgent safety initiatives: mass.streetsblog.org/2026/07/22/f...

A theme here is that if a person inside city government intervenes on behalf of a restaurant losing parking spots or a random driver getting a parking ticket, that's seen as constituent services. If another government insider works on behalf of keeping people alive, that's seen as advocacy.

Inspired by this hero, I took a minute to pick up some El Jefe's on my bike. Don't worry, Boston drivers. I'll be #JustAMinute.

On this day 15 years ago, we launched our first game, Bastion. To everyone who helped the Kid survive the Calamity, thank you!!🙏 You're the reason we've been able to carry on as an independent studio ever since.

Proper story's supposed to start at the beginning. Ain't so simple with this one.

The situation today obviously isn't what it was when we first planned this event, but if you feel inclined, please join us at Better Bagels today to support each other, eat some good food, and look toward a better future for our community 💛

RT @drgnfrt@twitter.com This is a really exciting option for me. I can host children’s birthday parties on the ground floor while also having enough space to reconstruct the Saw bathroom in its entirety in the basement.

A floor of the building has a large open space with bright different colored diamond-shaped tiles and bright teal walls.A floor of the building looks like a largely unfinished, unmaintained basement with a cracked concrete floor, exposed pipes, and debris, but a finished ceiling.
