Says the man who has so far ignored trans people’s representations about a deeply transphobic policy he is implementing this week.
I love the BBC orchestras for example, but are they worth the social damage that the BBC as a social institution is doing to the lives of people across the United Kingdom? No. Never. Dismantle the Bigoted Broadcasting Commission.
I don’t care if you like its cultural output. The BBC has been a major player in the immiseration of this country, in the persecution of trans people, immigrants, muslims, travellers and disabled people, in the spread of dangerous rhetoric about climate change and vaccines. It must be dismantled.
I think I’m having a psychotic meltdown seeing major newspapers describing the exercise of bigoted, exclusionary hate speech against trans people as an opportunity to showcase diversity and inclusion. Do they mean? Diversity of ‘opinion’ and inclusion of eugenicists? It’s troubling…
Reminder that we published an extensive interview with a former editor at The New York Times who laid out, in detail, how the paper's pushing of anti-trans bigotry was both very intentional and directed from the very top of the organization. The NYT plays a direct and major role in trans genocide:
'A directive from above': Former NYT editor lays out how the paper pushes anti-trans bigotry
In this in-depth interview, former New York Times editor Billie Jean Sweeney details how the paper shifted towards openly promoting anti-trans hatred, how some staff tried to stop it, how it's directe...

New blog post about the misuse of Assigned Gender At Birth and how most of all it's just imprecise.

Tendentious clickbaity headline from Auntie. Puberty blockers *aren‘t* controversial in the slightest, unless you’re uninformed or a bigoted busybody who’s rabidly against medical care for people who don’t happen to be you. Glad we settled that one.
Prioritising ‘visible sex observed at birth’ over gender to get at the nasty transes? Perhaps you should try being less evil, Bigot Island.
We are aware that NHS England is implementing a change to how it records patient data, prioritising ‘sex observed at birth’ over gender and other medically-relevant data. transactual.org.uk/blog/2026/07...

Everyone knows that Schubert wrote the archetypal Unfinished Symphony, right? What you may not know is that he wrote more than one of them!

I’ve decided to abandon the first draft. The first draft is dead. Long live the second draft! But I’ll publish the six chapters that were worked on, anyway; probably half of the material will be re-used. Here’s the first chapter of seven forthcoming installments: www.patreon.com/catherinecow...

Finished the first draft of chapter 6, with a satisfyingly round number of 31,400 words. I’ll go over the first few chapters to replace some _placeholder_ names and make some other edits shortly. The first scene of ‘Untitled Novel Project’ is already there: www.patreon.com/posts/novel-...
At the kind suggestion of @gracewells1.bsky.social, I’ve written a second story, following on several months after the events of First Day: Second Sight (It’s a gentler story than the previous story and will be freely available on AO3 on 7 August 2026.) www.patreon.com/catherinecow...

Why is the answer to 'how the internet became like this' always Elevatorgate and Gamergate
Look, I’m sorry Aidan, but Michael Nugent has been a lost cause for over a decade. When the atheist blogosphere was dividing over whether it was proper to describe Rebecca Watson and other feminist atheists as cunts, (it ISN’T, was and is the correct answer), he thought he could host a ‘debate’…
The fact that very few people on earth seem to challenge the language of calling trans women “biological men” is really dispiriting and offensive imo. And I was very afraid media style guides would end up like this after it became standard at like the daily caller.
Irresponsible reporting to let this quote stand without pushback from the reporter on the fact that there is demonstrably no danger for cis girls who are in locker rooms or sports with trans girls. (Notable that the word “trans” is not followed by “people” or “women.” Dehumanizing language.)
Didn't want to contaminate previous retweet with my own commentary but Victoria MUST abolish group voting tickets next week. It's not a debate, you're either for democracy (even with a suboptimal quota) or against it, GVT has been gamed to death and must go. #springst
This story is heartbreaking, and heartbreakingly possible, even probable. Please share it so that maybe it will reach the hearts of the people who need to hear it, and not just those of us who already know this story.

Never concede an inch to the bigots. If we don’t stand for full human rights for everyone, then they don’t truly exist for anyone. We see this time and time again.

Hi! I wrote a story about the new kind of ‘Section 28’ that UK Labour is bringing in under their new PM (same transphobia as the old PM). bsky.app/profile/64or... Section 28 suppressed open acknowledgement of homosexuality. What’s happening in the UK now is brutal suppression and segregation.

This is hilarious. HR Ryan went daft & entitled in my replies, insisted that everyone who doesn't tell her what state they live in is a bot/russian troll, raged, fell asleep, woke up, raged some more... and ultimately she's suspended while I'm reunited with an old friend. Well done, HR. Genius.
Oh noes! (However, I found some other really horrible documentation of her being vile to people on the Internet for quite a while—just hit the search button and type ‘hrryan’.)
Interesting thread, by someone who was involved in the writing of the Voyeurism Act—in case you hadn’t heard, the lady with the black mould infestation between her ears shared an upskirt image of a trans woman on ex-Twitter to humiliate her, as revenge for her refusing to debate black mould woman.
New PM, likely just as shit as the old PM, seeing as he’s retaining BP.
Fuck! 😖 Well, *that* tells us everything we need to know about his views about trans people! 😩😫
