So these men must be sanctified immediately in death, so that the narrative is not defined by what they actually said or wrote, the truly horrific and harmful ideas they put out into the world, but by a woolly sense of decorum that is at odds with how these men spoke of others their entire careers.
Because most people are not plugged into this stuff. Most people didn't watch Kirk's videos. Most people won't remember Liddle's columns. They just have a vague memory of "conservative guy who just wanted a debate" and "conservative newspaper columnist". Celebrating their death? Disgusting lefties!
Just as with Charlie Kirk, it's vital that the right wing media immediately paint any and all negative commentary as illegitimate and "hateful" because they know that simply quoting the man's actual words undermines their "it's the Left spreading hatred" narrative.

My favourite thing about this type of criticism is that “be kind” insta mums and bluesky leftists are two distinct groups that hate each other.

Note that this journalist is most offended at what @seamas.bsky.social said about Liddle’s writing and none of the rest of it is remotely a red flag to her. These are the people who run our mainstream media btw.

If, on the other hand, they want people who have to listen to them and can't say no, then Bluesky is infelicitous. Which might be a hint if lots of people were not completely invested in their right to impose themselves on others.
