Queer, Liberal, European. He/Him. I am a Liberal and I am against this sort of thing.
for the first time in two and a half years, a new note was played in this organ performance today!
Getting real sick of slop midwives pleading for a 'respectful discussion' of AI as relates to the arts. Your use of AI to 'make art' is not respectful. It benefits from stolen art, destroys the planet, and does not make you an artist any more than someone driving 26.2 miles is a marathoner.
Daaaamn. “AI is the asbestos we're shovelling into the walls of our technological society. Our descendants will spend generations digging it out again, and the longer the bubble goes on without popping, the longer it will take to repair the damage." www.thenerve.news/p/cory-docto...
Cory Doctorow: The people who tell you ‘AI is changing everything’ are lying
It has become impossible to tell managers mesmerised by artificial intelligence that the tools are not, in fact, helpful. So employees just play along with the fiction to keep their jobs, writes our t...

A friend of mine once read the Geneva Convention just so that she was well versed in war crimes and could then commit as many possible during a DnD campaign.
As @katemanne.bsky.social notes, it's reinforcing male entitlement to female deference. If men wallow in AI porn and bots saying "yes, sir," all day, they may react poorly when real women say no. It could lead to violence. katemanne.substack.com/p/a-culture-...
A Culture Hooked on Generative AI is a Culture that Misses Female Sycophants
And we have missed a central reason why AI is a feminist issue

I know she's incapable of ever admitting she's wrong about anything, but even I'm surprised that Kemi Badenoch has chosen this particular hill to die on
Once again, I come back to the fact these guys have created a situation where one of the UK's leading, cis female athletes is scared to go to the loo alone, and the fact that they are celebrating this as a step forward for women's rights.
Our code of practice for services, public functions and associations comes into force today. It provides practical guidance on how the Equality Act 2010 applies to services, public functions and associations. Find out more: https://ow.ly/alIf50Zwrkx
I was so furious about that Channel 4 ADHD documentary that I done a sarcasm.
The Great Sun Myth, from the producers of Not Quite Walls, Not Quite Gaps: What are Doors? and Trees: What’s Their Game?, will hear from the growing number of professional opinion-havers who are boldly questioning mainstream “science” and “facts”.
Teaching doctors about smoking is a moral imperative. And without outside funding, it was a choice between taking the tobacco industry's money or doing nothing!
“Teaching educators about AI is a ‘moral imperative’, said Randi Weingarten, the AFT president.” “And without outside funding, it was a choice between taking big tech’s money or doing nothing, she said.”
Something I find particularly disgusting about Rowling is how she has self-appointed as the defender of lesbians and gay men, while nastily dismissing the latter as "men with beards" and quietly pretending not to see the former when we dare to disagree with her.
So 'bearded men' or 'beardy men' is smart; It does so much with so little. It mocks us as little fashionistas attempting manhood. It allows us to be lumped in with every bad thing straight men have done. It masks that we are part of the affected community. It means you can just stop listening. 8/
The youth claim to hate capitalism yet they purchase goods and services in order to survive ahaha and I am very Fortune Magazine
he feels a sense of solidarity with a fellow leader who’s way too online and doesn’t do her homework before wading in
Why are you commenting if you don’t know the specifics of the case!!!!!
just had a horrific vision of the future in which Zack Polanski and Kemi Badenoch have a podcast and now I need a lie down
In 2011, the UK government response to antitrans provocations was "Don't be so bloody stupid".
web.archive.org/web/20260108... Here's an archive link of the original business guidance in case the original goes missing. In pretty clear terms the original guidance used to say stuff like "obviously, so long as the changing rooms allow privacy, trans women should be permitted to use the womens"
It's Textile Tuesday, and you know what that means: a piece by artist Faig Ahmed called "The Dragons of Karabakh" that's woven to look like an antique Central Asian carpet is melting off the wall into a puddle. More about the artist here: faigahmed.com
Cis woman on now speaking about how much she has been challenged, had security called on her because she has PCOS. Says she's never had a problem with trans women but multiple problems with GC women. She's on the verge of tears.
And Dogtanian! One less nonce, there's one less nonce! Kiddiwinks are slightly safer One less nonce, there's one less nonce! He wrote in the paper That he was a paedophile Then did us a favour Dropping dead which made us smile Plus he hit his wife
This is a repeated pattern Burnham has already displayed - portraying environmental protection and economic prosperity as zero sum, sacrificing one for the other. It might be canny short term politics, but it’s a horrible message that validates the culture messaging of the climate deniers
The Burnham premiership continues its approach to the future which is "wildfires? lets have more of that please, the young can be put to work to put out the flames" www.theguardian.com/society/2026...
This is the second time he has promised to help victims of grooming and kept the states boot on our neck. Never ask me to see him as different ever again.

Love the "I don't want my taxes being spent on EDI woke nonsense" rage. Sweetie the NHS pays me which means you get to fund ALL my nonsense, EDI, Woke or otherwise. 😘😘
“It had been know that the code was wrong since 2022.” No. It was not until the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 that you built the ground for the disgraceful Supreme Court to change the law without our consent.
Absolute state of Falkner and Reindorf in the Times today
I find the idea that you can't police the truth in academia to be strange. Plenty of people get fired for lying in their work (mostly in STEM but not exclusively). Some countries prosecute researchers who get grant money using fraudulent data. All this requires some sort of truth policing.
