Given that there is not likely to be a national, bipartisan demand for accountability in the wake of Trump — the major distinction with Nixon — any accountability, civil or criminal, will be a partisan and political project that I think should be pursued as vigorously as possible.

The "Dead Industry" theory is resonating with me and if often feels like I have a different job than I did last year. @strange.website offers a beautiful lament for the jobs we had and lays down some kindling for how we might warm ourselves in the meanwhile.

Following the Pope’s encyclical about AI, you’re going to see a lot more religious intervention in shaping public opinion about tech companies. There are only two social institutions resilient enough to counter AI politically — states and religion. They bought the first. Standby on the second.

Based on all of the organizations we've worked with, I think regardless of technology or tools, it's often difficult for organizations to identify their most valuable members because of organizational biases and politics that reward and protect mediocre and toxic individuals, often unintentionally.
