The use of "HR Lady" as a pejorative is quite revealing. It's a rejection of modern workplace norms that is also openly misogynistic. Anyone throwing this term around can be dismissed outright.
Kennedy Center staff is told they have until next Friday "to strip all references from signs, brochures, the website and other materials — and to update email signatures and letterhead immediately." I want video of the name coming off the building. I have rarely wanted anything more strongly.

They issued quarters to commemorate America's bicentennial, and as a kid I felt disappointed; I'd missed it, born too late. Then I did the math and realized I'd probably be around for the 250th and figured that was pretty cool too I was wrong. It's not cool. What a waste.

It's wild to me how many people even want a job that they're unqualified for. I think it'd be cool to be a surgeon, but I'd have to turn it down if offered it on the spot bc I don't know shit about medicine. But these folks are always ready to grab a scalpel and start slicing away randomly.
