It's a bit like Peacekeeper Wars is to Farscape. In that, you can see based on previous seasons how they would have spread the story out over a season, with various gaps for other stories and to build relationships, but it ends up just being a relentless barrage that can't land all the moments.

Watched The Halloween Apocalypse and it's clear what an absolute departure for #DoctorWho Flux was: this isn't like any of Who's other half-hearted efforts to do themed seasons where really they're just normal seasons with loose ties. This is an actual single story told over six episodes.

CEO wants more bigots, apparently. At which point, we'll all sod off elsewhere, and he'll be left with an essentially useless platform full of bigots. And isn't there already one of those?

I accidentally taught my niece ‘fuckboy’ when she was three. (We were watching Tangled) So I think I’m probably not the best person to respond.

Newbie writers think there's "one weird trick" to becoming a successful writer, which we refuse to tell them. Fact is, most of us became successful (whatever that means) through 90% luck, 9% stubbornness, 1% inability to do anything else. We can't tell you how we got here because we don't know!

Seeing complaints online that authors 'gatekeep' information…! Absolute nonsense. There is no industry or craft in the world which is so comprehensively written about, studied, and discussed as fiction writing, and every author I know welcomes new writers who are serious about giving it a go.

The next #RandallAndHopkirk is an interesting one: the only one written by one of the stars (Mike Pratt) and with a central idea so good that it was brought back for the Reeves and Mortimer remake: an evil hypnotist tries to hide his crimes by hypnotising Randall to no longer see or hear Hopkirk.

My view on canon is fairly straightforward. If it fits my mental view of DW, that's enough for me. I try not to get bogged down in facts and details, Doctor Who expands beyond limitations anyway. Well for me. Not saying it works for everyone. Haha.

Using the internet to argue about what kind of canon Doctor Who doesn't have: you lot do your mid-life crisis how you like - the is ME reliving MY youth and I'll do it how I want. Now if someone could just reply that MCCOY SUKS to everything I say, it would be perfect.
