Dug out an old GameMaker project and, after an afternoon tinkering to make it much better in a couple of ways, I've spent the evening absolutely fucking everything up and breaking the entire thing, and don't understand why but suspect that I'll have to rip out and rewrite a bunch of core objects.
The assumption that everyone's as reliant on the sycophantic lies machine as they are is mind blowing. It's like someone asking me if I'd be willing to do without my butler. A complete inability to even imagine, much less comprehend, what a normal person's life looks like.

It's staggering to me just how credulous people are when it comes to every story about LLMs, even when they're tech savvy enough to know better. There's just no skepticism in them *at all*, if OpenAI or Anthropic are involved.

My neighbor across the street got burglarized and he said the cops literally said "we're on to these guys" after saying "they've hit 20 houses in the area" and then he asked why they were able to hit 20 houses if the cops were "on to these guys" and that was the end of the investigation lol
