It's so blazingly obvious that this is true. A university lecturer being fired for plagiarism would not be national news >99% of the time. It was inflated into one this time purely because it fit into racist "culture war" narratives about "DEI".

It has funded FREE school lunch for ALL students, FREE buses in lowest income communities (people can get to work, etc.), and FREE community college. And "exodus" was minimal.

My own views on AI-assisted math research are still par-baked, but it feels like one important question is: how much do we care about (some Platonic, atomistic kind of) PRODUCT of discovery versus the (social, humanized and humanizing, messy) PROCESS of discovery

It didn’t solve it, but it did make strides on a related problem: it increased the lower bound for the fraction of zeros of the Riemann zeta function that satisfy the hypothesis from 41.6% to 67.2%.
