‘Say yes and never do it’ Mel Brooks knew how to deal with the studios
I’m sorry but “everyone is going to use AI to code their own apps” sounds like “everyone is going to learn HTML and code their own websites.“ like … have you met people? no they’re not
Oh you think it's "cool" to do a heist? To assemble a crew of specialists, each with a unique backstory, to create a beautiful ballet of theft? You think it's "cool" to purloin beautiful treasures under several redundant layers of security? You people sicken me. Next you're gonna say you use drugs.
I just remembered the other day when @twoscooters.bsky.social called Nobu "Applebees for rich people" and I'm still laughing
You know that Mario party minigame where everyone has to run to a platform on the board and, round by round, the platform you’re standing on may or may drop out from under you and it repeats over and over until there’s no one left? Working in games feels a lot like that these days.
i can't stop thinking about jd vance laysplaining st augustine to the pope
I can confidently say that I have never once in my whole career worked with someone so indispensable that we actually needed to put up with drama queen asshole bullshit. Giving your team (and yourself) a functional work environment is priceless.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but there's no amount of capability that justifies being an awful human. The bar for being a decent human is already pretty low. If you can't clear that, I don't care how capable you are. I can certainly find someone *nearly* as capable who isn't a shitbag.
Work: "We want you to use this tool cause it's great and awesome!" Also Work: "The tool broke? No I'm not going to HELP you with that. Maybe you're an idiot, have you considered that? Why are you even using that tool anyway? You stupid idiot."
hearing some early reporting that this is because girls go to college to get more knowledge and boys go to Jupiter to get more stupider
The Statistics Canada data also found that across the next 10 years, “over 80 per cent of new job openings arising from economic growth are projected to be mainly in management positions and in those that usually require post-secondary education.” globalnews.ca/news/1174524...
the human body was not designed to know what the worst person in the world is doing every fifteen minutes
You guys. This just happened 😳This falcon/eagle works scaring away and hunting pigeons to keep Harrods clean.
I forgot to tell you all. The other morning, as my very early bus approached the Thames, I saw one of the London falcons, circling above the city. I felt so lucky!
Good luck to everyone in Chicago going to vote today
If you worked on a game you should get a credit. That's where the conversation should end.
My dad can never remember Timothée Chalamet’s name and calls him “that little French boy” like he’s a drummer in Napoleon's army or a haunted marionette.

when someone says “great job team” but you’re the only one who actually did anything.
And he didn’t even make more modeling anyhow… This is a deep cut 😂
you know I would say her matching pink phone case really makes this, gives Goodwin a huge "sad loser man at the end of Legally Blonde" vibe

My regular quiz pub has branded glasses now and I’m having a moral dilemma about borrowing one… forever.
No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition. Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

Please CHRIST look at the UK; Starmer’s Labour didn’t win the last election; the Conservatives lost it. The thing to do is to *BURN AWAY* Schumer, Jeffries et al through direct action, protests, primaries. You and I are in charge (sorry! but also: congrats!) Catch up with us, Dems, or be retired.
the thing is, the way it looks right now democrats are going to do really well even by default. dont have to go on record promising anything, dont need to be bold, dont need to put themselves out there and theyll probably get control thats just not good enough
