I encourage all of us to have the grace and focus shown in this going up within minutes of the race being called.

I software code and it's super easy not to LLM your way through life if anything LLMing makes your code obviously, provably worse
not if youre a software coder i guess
use an LLM? how bout you LLM, "Lick my Left Mnut"
Yeah this is very important to understand. Using LLMs is standard practice now in software engineering. There are still reasons to critique that use case, but the newer models are much better at writing code than they are at general use. This is largely because coding isn’t about facts.
was discussing with a fellow traveler today -- but programmers, coders, developers are having an *entirely* different experience of LLM-based products and services than the rest of us, especially the plagiarized plebeians among us (writers, reporters).
do not wear a safety pin to show you are to be trusted. real allies dangle a long stream of toilet paper directly from their Ass hole
consumers: i want a laptop that doesn't degrade in six months and doesn't cost $2000 silicon valley: have you considered giving us all the money in existence to build sex dens on mars
Through a bit of struggle, I found that if I tap on the black border of the picture I am describing, the alt text fully emerges for further editing
bluesky devs- you have got to do something about the alt text interface on mobile. it's really hard to use. I can't scroll up and down easily and makes it really hard to proofread my alt text.

New York City’s business elites are long accustomed to direct access to City Hall, where even Democratic mayors felt the need to court the city’s wealthiest and most influential corporate leaders. That access is getting shredded by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
I meant to post this last night but if you’re mad about any of the primary results you got 24 hours to bleed, try not to say anything you’ll regret in 48, and then it’s Blue No Matter Who.
For years now, especially since Trump's first term, ballot measures reveal an awful lot about the voters in states a whole lot of people rush to the front of line to tell to fuck off The voters consistently reject GOP overreaches like this. What if Democrats learned something from that just one time
Republican power grabs in Kansas and Missouri are going down in flames with 18-25% of votes reported so far. Missouri's Amendment 4 aimed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments practically impossible. Kansas' Amendment 1 was designed to flip the state Supreme Court to ban abortion
Fairness In Women's Sports shit is disheartening to me for a lot of reasons. but one that I really need people to chew on is: sports do not actually matter that's what they're for they exist to not matter the overton window is so fucked that we're treating *games* as if they're worth any of this
"give a man a fish, he eats for a day." i actually think that's pretty fucking good
it's so good. everything i've had from this place has been solid but this one really blew me away

Teach your children ‘democrats are not always good, but republicans ARE always bad’ and in 2026 you’ve covered like 90% of their practical civic education wrt voting.
The best thing about Vote Blue No Matter Who is that it unloads a lot of cognitive burden. I wanted Tom Steyer to be in the Governor's race, but he's not so I'm gonna vote for Becerra. I don't follow his campaign at all: I'm voting for him because he's not a Republican.
