Can I just check that it's OK for Danno's Mum to flee her home because she fears for her safety, and seek refuge somewhere else? Presumably she stopped at the first place of safety, and didn't continue her journey to somewhere she had relatives?
I never had it read this as a kid but the Funfax book of the unexplained served a similar role, introducing me to the mystery of the Mary Celeste and giving me a major fear of the Bermuda Triangle
