Almost got mowed down walking across the street in Pioneer Square by an Audi driver on TikTok, immediately afterwards a random bystander came up to me to chime in on how bicycles are endangering pedestrians everyday Really makes you wonder how carbrain works
Incomprehensible to claim that the cars are what makes Pike Place what it is. If anything the cars detract from the experience in the exact *opposite* way - like a cell phone going off during a play

The one time I bought a car was when I moved to LA, I sent one email to every dealer cc'd and basically said "I want this model, this color, this financing - fight amongst yourselves" Surprisingly this worked but only 2-3 dealerships went for it, it was clear the others didn't know how to read.

I think we are seeing so obviously that people in Seattle want parties in public space. Sports give people an excuse to gather together, we should do this for other sports!

Had a funny/cursed realization that for Link trips involving the UW station, I am now routinely waiting longer for the one functioning station elevator than for the train

@sound-transit.bsky.social the bus bridge is leaving a lot to be desired - I'm having to step in to help a lot of confused and frustrated passengers as many of the shuttle drivers silently open the doors at each stop. Nobody knows where we are and the drivers should be announcing each station!

Miser@misernyc.bsky.social · 7mo agoJust to be clear, this would mean roughly $9 / gallon average cost in the US and higher in many states. If your city isn't actively fast-building as many bike lanes as possible at the moment in preparation they have failed you utterly.
