I fundamentally do not know how to square the politics whereby Democrats will essentially have to tell the American people that because they (the voters) made an extremely stupid decision, they need to lower their expectations substantially for the foreseeable future, but here we are.
this is legitimately a huge problem that i don’t know how they will resolve, either from an executive or legislative standpoint, and it’s going to be the case across a lot more than just defense

It's amazing how many Republicans just seem to viscerally loathe the major population, economic, and cultural centers of their states.
Klobuchar responds: "None of my opponents on this stage condemned what ICE did. Not a word. Two innocent people were killed, shot in the back. We had many people arrested when they weren't supposed to be arrested, and we need reform to ICE."
Progressive politics without the "woke" social justice/racial justice components is libertarianism.

I think what is maybe more informative is how quickly or not people in leadership coalesce around whoever wins— and how gracious or not the winner is about it all. There were and will be many races won by one or other of that 50% in various states/offices bsky.app/profile/matt...

This isn't happening and Carlson has already laid the groundwork for supporting Vance by trying to propagandize his low performing listeners into thinking Vance is not at fault for this administrations actions with Israel and Iran.

This is not a happy ending, except for the IRGC. It's a terrible precedent that will worsen international tensions. But it can't be helped. It's been inevitable ever since Trump decided on this war against the will of Congress and it's all on his reckless, ignorant, and lawless White House.

Hard to overstate the level of strategic failure. US started the war purely as a war of choice and ends up dramatically empowering Iran and given the Iranian govt big wins.

Hardest one I ever had to turn down was a neonate on a ventilator out in a community hospital, but with a local ice storm we couldn't lift.
