the whole 'nothing has gotten better' discourse is of course fucking stupid in a million ways, but I just wanted to note that average dog lifespan in the United States has increased by two years since 2000.

Bought a load of Warhammer official paint products in the store at lunch. A melting hike across the city. But I think my wallet hurts more than my body. I'm starting to think some of those mega bundles from other paint makers look far more economical compared to this one purchase...

Adoring coverage of the funeral but the media is still staying well clear of the allegations or the discourse around them across multiple platforms... Respect for the recently deceased is such a false performance imo.

Bluesky is a "liberal bubble" because fascist chuds can't get traction without algorithmic assistance and because people here trained themselves to block "debate me" trybois the instant they roll up

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

Dunno bout yall but id much rather see my tax dollars going to feed hungry people for pennies on the dollar than see hungry families begging on the street. seeing mothers with their children holding up cardboard signs trying to get enough to feed them. If that's the trap, ill gladly walk into it.

Sorry to harp on this, but these CEOs keep bringing up the idea of a "public square" and I don't think they've ever been to a public square. I don't have the right to talk to anyone in a real-life public square! People get to tell me to go away.

My current dilemma. I need a holiday. I've days booked off for the end of the month into start of the next. But solo travel makes me feel alone. The pre-planned tours are generally not on suitable dates, too expensive, too far afield, or just not my thing. What the fuck do I do to escape?
