Foul-mouthed yellow-dog Democrat, knitter from Illinois. She/her. I block TERFs, BothSiders, & doomers. Probably not that interesting. A student of mine once wrote on an evaluation, "She thinks she's funny, but she's not." Please don't DM me.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

An aircraft passenger oxygen mask: a drop down passenger mask with air bag and yellow plastic mouth and nose cover, oxygen tube has been cut; Demonstration model used by flight attendant crew for passenger instruction. Has text on the side indicating that it's non-functional.

Finished watching The Other Bennett Sister, & absolutely loved it. The Love Interest (not naming the character because Spoilers! groveled very nicely, as he should! as he was an absolute numpty.

Two great civil rights heroes spoke these prophetic words in 2022 They are now resting in power with the ancestors but their words live on May we continue to carry on their legacies and the fight ahead!! We must find the strength to carry on and continue their precious work!!

Trump is by far the tackiest President we've ever had. I know this is less important than his evilness & his incompetence, but damn! he is a tacky tacky man. I'd say that his taste is only in his mouth, but apparently his taste in food is also lousy.

Also important to note that if those Soldiers & Marines operated the way ICE, let alone law enforcement at any level in the US routinely operates they'd be charged under UCMJ. Or would've been before Hegseth who ordered his Soldiers to violate ROE.

Salutary to remember that 18 and 19 year old soldiers and Marines patrolled Kabul and Fallujah with more restraint and good judgment than ICE has shown in any American city.

Death is a tragedy, but it's not a call to burnish the terrible legacy of a bad person that ultimately had no moral core. Upon his death, it's worth reflecting on the far worse tragedy of who he became, and who he could have been instead, but didn't.
