I saw Dolly in concert in Atlanta a long time ago. It was a wonderful show! My favorite part was that since Kenny Rogers couldn’t join her, she brought out a Kenny ventriloquist dummy to work him to a recording of Kenny’s voice. Her puppeteering was impeccable.

Saying a version of "I don't know" and then outlining the steps you would take *to* know is a nearly-universal requirement for passing your qualifying exams as a PhD student. It was also a requirement for getting hired as a Supplemental Instructor when/where I was an undergrad.
