And now the best part: Bot traffic from the #Yandex network has plunged to near zero following the strike on its Vladimir data center. Bot traffic includes automated requests from search crawlers, scrapers and other online services. Twitter must be a ghost town by now.

something very funny about the Bayeux Tapestry getting 5 stars after 940 years, as if Bishop Odo of Bayeux has been sat at home all this time waiting for the review, absolutely raging - "I gave that Guardian journalist a press comp on OPENING NIGHT for god's sake"

Dozens of arrests at Liverpool outside the Labour Party conference. Elderly 'terrorists' protesting against the genocide were manhandled away by Merseyside Police using Labour legislation proscribing Palestine Action. This is a matter of deep shame for Labour.

Elderly protester arrested and being carried away by two Merseyside police officers.

I am rarely affected by discourse on social media, but the current wave of posts asserting that Long Covid is psychosomatic has angered me. To be very clear: if you're asserting that LC isn't a physical disease, you're ignorant of science. End of.

The BPS model and more 'modern' psychosomatic tactics are being used to 'biopsychosocialize' the soaring rates of chronic illness in the West. Why? 'Cause ideologues can't move past their narcissims of 'good intentions' And governments like wellfare cuts. A perversely dangerous collusion.

Articles like these are emblematic of the institutional amnesia surrounding Covid-19. A pathogen that emerged less than seven years ago, which can cause fatigue during the acute infection and as a common long-term effect, not even mentioned. Conspicuously absent. www.nbcnews.com/health/menta...

Why are Americans so tired? CDC report highlights who’s feeling it most

Fatigue is one of the most common concerns reported in primary care visits, yet not much attention is given to how often adults in the U.S. are coping with it.

Okay so @defector.com has had an odd glitch since the site redesign a couple of weeks back where the wrong photo and headline are often put together on the main page and I was going to ask them about fixing it but this just happened and as far as I'm concerned they have to leave it as is.

Screenshot for a Defector podcast episode with the headline "Consider the Emotional Lives of Scallops" only the accompanying photo is a white gormless stubbled red-headed UK singer of recent notoriety giving a flat smile to the camera while wearing a washed out peach top as beige as he is against a flat background. So, actually, probably a scallop anyway.
