Benjamín Schultz-Figueroa@benjaminschultzfig.bsky.social · 7d agoI'd love to see a study of the effects on faculty, students, and staff when they see their university as hypocritical, especially around issues of social justice. I imagine these are pretty common sentiments that have measurably negative effects. It'd be useful to have evidence of that.
So, I’ve created a form where current and former CCCC Caucus/SIG/SG-affiliated leaders/folks can sign up if they want to be part of an ongoing conversation about how to respond (and how we might preserve and/or continue the work of our Caucus/SIG/SG after the loss of Cs).

While you're canceling, ask NCTE what they plan to do with the $4.6 million of members' dues and fees that they held as recently as March 6, 2026, in CCCC reserves, $500K more than was in those same reserves in 2024, according to the Executive Secretary Treasurer's report.

Last year, TSA began sharing passenger manifests with ICE, and ICE began arresting people at airports. After some initial arrests led to backlash, ICE pulled back a bit. But with the pressure on from the White House right now, we're seeing a lot more arrests at airports recently.
