I quite like the Sun-Times and subscribe, and this is a fair criticism. I think the obvious explanation (TTs are black teens who live in Chicago, Lolla is white teens & 20s from the richer burns) plays a huge role here. But Lolla, like most live entertainment, is a thoroughly capitalist effort.

I think that not only is this good politics, but the stability of American society depends on it. Liberal American normies are out for blood, but *everyone* is in an anti-system mood. If we don't feed that beast some sacrifices, it'll find someone who can, and those sacrifices will be innocent.

Imagine if you mailed the IRS a check to pay your taxes, but they left their mail unopened for years and then arrested you for failure to pay taxes. That’s effectively what ICE is doing to increasing numbers of people now; people out of status only because of GOVERNMENT delay.
In Texas, in many instances, the only care that a health care provider can offer a person wishing to transition is to suggest they move to another state.

To be clear this is against state and local law, and contributes to the ongoing impression that in the US, there is no civilian control of the police. Whoever is nominally elected or apointed to head the paramilitary forces of your locality, they can't or won't stop this. Which would be worse?

In addition to street and court arrests, ICE has been taking people from immigration check-in appointments since before Operation Midway Blitz.
The pattern is unmistakable: *Nobody died from USAID cuts. *Nobody killed by ICE is innocent. *No Muslim in the UK can escape the charge of being a rapist or a murderer. *No Somali in Minnesota is there legitimately by definition. And so on: newrepublic.com/article/2135...

We once had a mayor of a small town write 'OBAMA 08' in "logs" (They were full ass trees cut up, he was a competitive log thrower/lumberjack dude) and people drove to see it lol.
So this is easy to make fun of, har har, red string, etc, but this is the preliminary step to banning these organizations as FTOs. It's all EOs, under existing law, and it'd be up to whatever federal judge they hand-pick to call bullshit. Even if it's turned back, the timing could ratfuck a lot.

The craziest shit for me is that there's an audio recording of Donald Trump asking for Georgia officials to "find votes" in 2020 and he's running now. How is that not instantly disqualifying? We HEARD him. Not Meadows. Not Giuliani. How is asking officials for votes (with proof) not instant jail?
There are whole ass countries that don't have 22 shootings by law enforcement in a decade. Yet we don't eye to an agency w/ 20k ghouls hitting that mark in less than 2 years. #AmericanExceptionalism
