The correlation between social media usage and political instability is so strong as to demand serious investigation. But it isn't happening. Are humans actually the frogs being slowly boiled to death?

There is a remarkable scale of the celebration, glorification and excited encouragement of violence on the X platform. It is probable that most of it is not incitement in law [though there will be examples that are] but the nature + pace of dissemination makes it a major national security risk

We need to think deeper: why is this unacceptable for a 17 year old but acceptable for an 18 year old - or a 57 year old? Age controls are not the real problem.

From Gamergate, to Blake Lively, to Brexit, to ‘two tier policing’, we know, we have data that most of these campaigns aren’t ’real.’ They’re primarily the work of bot farms employed by hostile nations. So why is this never discussed on a mainstream level?

Saying the officers initially believed the killer because of anti-racism just doesn't make sense. Run through the sequence of events as I described them. If you honestly think the police would've done anything different if the killer were white, please explain how, because I just don't see it

The right in this country have totally lost it, a complete and utter collapse of any kind of cordon sanitaire with the far right in favour of gutter racism. It's been slow, but the grinding move from "anti-white racism is real" from far right agitprop to Times leader is complete.

The more I engage with the facts of the case, the more I realise the two tier claim is entirely untenable. But that doesnt matter any more. And engaging with the facts and making a judgement seems beyond much of our media

The new MDN frontend (we call it Fred) is live after about 5 months of work, and a lot of planning and prototyping before that! Rebuilt using web components, it should feel a lot cleaner and more consistent for users, and is so much easier to develop in. github.com/mdn/fred

Anyone who thinks you can solve London's housing crisis, the product of several decades of not building enough houses, without building more houses, does not deserve to be taken seriously. Nor does anyone tagging the NIMBY ultras of CPRE into a discussion on housing.
