If you go into fandom with an understanding that no blorbo is perfect and nothing is The Best Thing Ever except for the purposes of fannish squealing hyperbole, you'll have a much nicer time. I love being a fan of bad and terrible things! It enriches my fandom ecosystem no end.
Being a fan of things that are objectively Bad, whether they're low quality, badly acted, badly edited, badly sung, have terrible lyrics, whatever, will free you from the shackles of so many fandom problems and cultivate a healthy cognitive dissonance in your brain.
Once again I think people in fandom would do well to get used to being a fan of things that are Bad, and I mean ranging from a bit shit to genuinely terrible. Your monkey brain has its own taste in blorbos and if it hasn't already it will be humbled one day soon by becoming a fan of a Bad thing
I have had it with this. There was a NOTAM that the GPS jamming activities were taking place in the area. Pilots must check NOTAMs prior to departure, especially commercial pilots. It is part of the damn job. If you need GPS to fly then reconsider your career choices.

I love when you ask someone why they have to use AI and suddenly all other search engines don’t exist there is no spellcheck besides quill bot and no one has yet invented a map, or a book, to look at for reference. You see no one was able to write anything prior to 2022. It was impossible.
This thread (which Robin pursues down a couple different, useful forks) is a great overview of the mess that is eBook licenses for libraries, especially 24-month expiring licenses for books in series! (Context: cost per circ = cost per each time it's checked out.)

If the cost per circ was $5 or $3, I wouldn't mind. But that is WAY too high, especially for a thing that expires after 2 yrs.
