Ones with rich inner lives and backstories that might make their actions seem a little less black and white. Life isn’t always as clear cut as we make it out to be when we’re arguing online. Maybe they're going through a divorce for example. Maybe they have ADHD or IBS. Do they not also bleed is what I am saying. They also bleed do they not.

If I can give concept artists one bit of advice, because I am seeing a LOT of this mistake today... please imagine your design in motion. Not as a static drawing. Not as a cool painting. Not as a strongly composed posed shot. Imagine the thing you are designing actually doing the thing it does.

If they can send even a single scientist to prison over something that plainly did not happen, they can imprison anyone for anything at any time for any reason. Those are the stakes. You don’t hear that from legacy publications like NYT.

Republicans like Rand Paul are lying to the public and wielding those lies like a wrecking ball, targeting academia and public health. He and the administration want to imprison scientists over what is very clearly a conspiracy theory. It’s the most incredible and dangerous thing I’ve ever seen.
